The sound quality as expected is superb. However for a so called audiophile pressing i am extremely disappointed with the surface noise clicks and skipping. Well worth collecting them to. 33 rpm reviewed in the united kingdom on 20 april 2017 seemless recording quality good pressing.

Whilst the dark side of the moon is my favourite floyd album i would also like to clearly state that floyd s wish you wer here animals and lastly the wall are also exquisitely sublime to. But for my money anyway pink floyd have never bettered this album. The most recent vinyl re issue of the dark side of the moon is the 2016 remastered edition on heavyweight 180gr vinyl. Dunno how much better it is than the 30th anniversary edition but listening to it on my ipod classic be rest assured that the album sounds fantastic as it should.

The full record was remastered from the original analogue tapes by james guthrie joel plante and bernie grundman. I bought this 180 gram audiophile pressing of dark side of the moon expecting it to sound pretty great. The dark side of the moon was also re released in 2003 on 180 gram virgin vinyl mastered by kevin gray at acoustech mastering and included slightly different versions of the original posters and stickers that came with the original vinyl release along with a new 30th anniversary poster. Carefully remastered from the original master tapes the sound is smooth warm and not clinical in any way shape or form.

The result is a brand new dark side of the moon that one could argue truly fulfills the original intent of the band. Read honest and unbiased product reviews from our users. I have a few copies of the off the shelf original edition the box set edition gold edition and now this latest one that seems to be a remastering done in 2016. The lp is housed in a gatefold sleeve printed on a black matte cardboard which also includes two stickers and two original posters with art by hipgnosis.

In general the recorded sound reproduction is actually pretty outstanding.
